Yvette Mitchell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of social work experience. Yvette’s clinical experience includes working with tweens, adolescents, and adults in a variety of mental health settings including a clinical private practice, an eating disorder treatment center, and a national employee assistance program. Additionally, she has served as a school counselor at an independent middle and high school where she supported students’ social-emotional health and wellness and provided support to parents.
Yvette infuses compassion, curiosity, and humor into therapy sessions. She also utilizes an eclectic approach to treatment, often drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and body neutrality approaches to therapy when supporting clients.
As a generalist practitioner, Yvette works with all types of problem areas. However, there are certain practice areas in which she has particular interest and expertise including:

During her downtime, Yvette enjoys spending time with her family, watching comedy shows, and she is anxiously waiting until she is able to listen to any kind of live music again.
