I believe in a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy that empowers you to explore your emotions, face your challenges, and build resilience. Together, we’ll develop personalized strategies to help you find healing and strength, both inside and out.”

Therapy with Me

In our work together, my primary goal is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to explore and express your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. I understand that seeking therapy can feel vulnerable, and I am committed to meeting you where you are in your journey. Whether you’re navigating difficult emotions, struggling with body image issues, or facing complex trauma, I believe that healing is possible with the right support and guidance.

I take a collaborative approach to therapy, which means that we will work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your unique needs and goals. I believe in a holistic approach to healing—one that recognizes and integrates the mind, body, and emotions. We will explore not only the symptoms you’re facing but also the deeper, underlying factors that may contribute to your challenges. This allows us to work on a deeper level, addressing the root causes of your struggles and helping you make lasting changes.

If you are struggling with eating disorders, I take a mind/body approach to treatment, which can help you understand and address the complex relationship between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors surrounding food and body image. I draw on evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the Unified Protocol, to help you build resilience and gain emotional regulation skills. We will also work on developing healthier coping strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and difficult emotions, enabling you to make progress both inside and outside of our sessions.

I understand that therapy is a deeply personal process, and I strive to build a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, validated, and understood. Whether you’re seeking help with anxiety, depression, trauma, or relational difficulties, my role is to support you every step of the way. Together, we will identify your strengths, explore new perspectives, and develop practical tools that you can use to face life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

My ultimate goal is to help you build a deeper connection to yourself, to others, and to the world around you. I want you to feel empowered in your healing journey, and I am here to provide the guidance, support, and encouragement you need to move forward. Whether you’re dealing with a specific issue like an eating disorder or managing more general challenges like anxiety or relationship difficulties, I will be with you every step of the way, helping you find healing and strength along the journey.

Training & Education

I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Prior to that, I completed my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Minor in Food & Nutrition at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!).

After undergraduate studies, I worked as a Milieu Therapist in an inpatient eating disorder treatment center at Children’s Medical Center in Plano, Texas. It was here that my passion for treating eating disorders truly took root.

During my graduate studies, I completed a clinical practicum where I worked with women experiencing homelessness, providing invaluable experience in supporting individuals through significant life challenges. I also completed my clinical internship at TranscendED, a PHP/IOP Eating Disorder Treatment Center outside of Charlotte, NC, where I received advanced training in mind/body approaches to eating disorders and learned specialized techniques like the Unified Protocol to help clients navigate and tolerate uncomfortable emotions.

After graduation, I moved to the DC metro area and began working at The Renfrew Center of Bethesda, where I served as both a Primary Therapist and Clinical Team Leader. In this role, I oversaw the PHP/IOP programs and provided supervision to fellow therapists, further honing my leadership and clinical skills.

Throughout my career, I have received extensive training in the treatment of eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder. I’ve also focused on developing expertise in complex trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, and emotion regulation strategies.
