About Monarch Therapists
Monarch is a boutique practice of highly skilled integrative therapists. That means that we continuously train in a variety of effective approaches, and are able to select the interventions that best suit a particular client in a particular moment. These can include, but aren’t limited to, somatic practices, depth psychology, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), and DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy).
While each Monarch therapist has their own specialty areas, we all have particularly expertise in helping people with mind-body issues such as trauma, eating disorders, chronic pain and chronic illness.

-
Currently Monarch is offering three groups: Trauma and Eating Disorders, Parenting Beyond Trauma, and Eating Disorder Support. Please reach out for more information on these.
-
Navigating a relationship is incredibly difficult. Monarch is pleased to be one of the premier practices offering marital counseling and couples’ work.

Collaborating & Consulting Professionals
Establishing a community of care around our clients is at the heart of what we do. We enjoy collaborative and active relationships with dietitians, physicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, teachers, school counselors and other service providers.
Monarch therapists also offer paid and unpaid consultations to allied health professionals.
These may include:
therapists who are unfamiliar with eating disorder or trauma treatment
therapists who need additional support in an area that one of our therapists has particular expertise in such as chronic pain, perinatal loss, or working with adolescents
allied health professionals seeking to offer more trauma-responsive care
schools who are seeking guidance in offering accommodations to students
ongoing supervision for graduate and postgraduate psychology students
If you think a consultation might be useful for you, please reach out to us. We are passionate about sharing our expertise and we would love to help.
Speaking engagements, journalist support & community outreach
Monarch therapists are passionate about what we do and we enjoy sharing our knowledge. Our therapists have been pleased to speak at the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, One Medical, and the American Psychological Association.
We also frequently offer trainings, workshops and other educational opportunities to members of the community such as schools, elder care centers, workplaces and specific allied health practices such as dentists, oncologists, gastroenterologists.
